Ms. Steps out the door
-
Wild Thing
She is a true lover of animal print & uses it throughout her home in her decor. Also a real shoe enthusiast, she wanted an elegant addition to bring the theme into her bedroom.
-
-
Phantom Fanatic
She’s seen Phantom of the Opera live 19 times, 7 of those with her daughter. When her daughter wanted a unique gift for her mom, she turned to Ms. Steps.
-
Her mom loved it so much that she was close to tears.
-
-
Pretty in Pink Flaming-oh
One day long ago, someone gifted her a flamingo and suddenly they became her thing.
-
I made her a pink ombre shoe featuring her stylized flamingo forearm tattoo inside.
-
Beatle Mania
She wanted an original gift for her favorite Beatles fan so we stepped out onto Abbey Road together.
-
-
-
Quilting Queen Bee
She’s a crafty one, that’s for sure, specializing in quilting and sewing. She’ll even do repairs without complaint, although she doesn’t enjoy that sort of thing.
-
-
Hogwarts Inspired
“Nothing nerds me out more than Harry Potter,” she said to me, so a Hogwarts inspired shoe was very much in order.
-
-
-
Owl Post
She also loves owls, so her acceptance letter to Hogwarts came delivered by none other than Hedwig.
-
Hufflepuff Forever
She’s a creative language arts and reading teacher who adores a certain wizard and is a proud member of the Hufflepuff house.
-
Stepping Into Their Future
She is a New Orleans girl who is getting married on the beach in Cancun at sunset. Her favorite color is gold and she wanted a shoe to commemorate their special day in their new home.
-
“I will love you every step of the way.”
-
-
Baby Steps
Remember the old school tradition of bronzing shoes? Glittering is so much more fun! This little boy LOVES cats so I created a cat shoe out of his (dad’s!) toddler shoe.
-
Love is Love, period.
Celebrating Pride because love is love, love makes the world go round, and all you need is love.. <3
-
-
Rich Bitch Witch
She is fascinated by witches and rich bitches. I began with a shoe so pointy it could kick the eyes out of snakes… although she’d never do that. Snakes are our friends.
-
Snake & Jake's
This New Orleans Christmas Club Lounge, an institution that consistently makes the “Top Ten Dive Bars in the Nation” list, now features a Ms. Steps masterpiece.
-
-
Hoosier Mama
She left Indiana University’s campus six decades ago but still pays for premium sports channels so she can watch the Hoosiers play.
-
I designed the back heel to look like the candy stripe pants that the basketball team wears.
-
Duke Devotee
She’s a rabid Duke fan, indeed, devoted to watching all of the games. Overwhelmed by emotion, she surprised me by crying when she first saw her shoe.
-
Sole Sisters
As soon as she saw her friend’s Duke shoe she knew she needed to own one… not Duke though. She’s a Mountaineer. We used the mate to the Duke shoe for hers so now they’re Sole Sisters, although they still argue about whose is the prettiest.
-
Tarheeled
She’s been a UNC fan all her life. She’s cheered them on at games, Final Fours, and had an entire lower level of her home dedicated to UNC swag. She is now the first person to own a Ms. Steps UNC shoe.
-
Seahawks & 12
A math wiz and passionate teacher, she’s also such a huge Seahawks fan that the kids in her classroom are known as the Seahawks and 12s.
-
Rooting for the Ravens
She grew up in Maryland and wanted a shoe for their bar. “And I want plummage!” she declared. Caw Caw!
-
-
NFL Split Personality
She grew up watching the Redskins (their name at that time) with her dad, but she married into a Packer family. Now she cheers for both.
-
When her back began to give her trouble, she could no longer wear her favorite 4” heels. Instead of giving them away, we created art so she could keep them on display forever.
